Seeing the progression of Pixar’s work has been interesting. I remember being 7 or 8 and going to the MacWorld Expo with my parents and just spending hours staring at the shorts they would run in their humble booth.
That being said, if you have a chance, check out the animation “Secret of the Kells” there is a lot of really smart use of color and line through the piece. Also, as a bonus, the protagonist is also, of course, ginger. 😉
It’s insane that I haven’t seen Secret of Kells yet. I was SO excited when it came out, but then I missed it in the theater and now I keep forgetting about it. Will remedy the situation soon. Thanks for the reminder!
Whenever I see this trailer I get so excited. Though I love Pixar movies in general, I think this is the first that immediately hooked me as far as subject matter. Can’t wait!!
