Hello Meetup friends! I’m back.
June was a busy month for me. I got my PikaPackage goodies made and sent out, and I started the Flourish business class. I’m currently working on getting my online shop, Other Such Things, up and running. It will be filled with prints of my work and crafty goodies (like that sneak peek above of a mobile!) I’m pretty excited about it. I’m planning on the opening coinciding with the release of the PikaPackages, which should be pretty soon.
Anyways, here are my goals for this month. Yes, a lot of them are repeat-ers, so please bear with me fellow goal makers.
- Work on making portfolios to send around to select clients.
- Organize promotions effort.
- Work on a new piece for portfolio.
- Send out a newsletter. (You can sign up here if you’d like!)
- Tidy up my website headers and blog sections. Too much clutter for me.
- Finish setting up my online shop. (Sign up for an email alert when it opens, here!)
- Work on the shop page of my portfolio site.
- Send out some shop press releases to blogs.

The Flourish class has been great so far. Though it is A LOT of info, and I have to say I am a bit behind. –which is fine. You can go at your own pace, relatively. The people taking it seem to be a good mix of businesses and experience. And she is really quick to answer any questions on the message boards. I’m going to really dive into it this week so maybe I’ll have more to say then. Debbie of BlueHour Studio is taking it too, so she might have some thoughts as well. Apparently we’re going to get an ebook of the class after, which will be a nice bonus!

Gaia: everything sounds great I would love to know more about the pikapackages. I just finished the flying lessons class with kelly rae roberts. Very overwhelming but I got a lot out of the course. Take your time and really pull out what you need. I found that there were so many people taking this course that I had to read only what Kelly posted and not the comments. She also gave a pdf book at the end and I have found this to be a great business resource. I think for me though, I like the smaller more intimate classes better. Sarah, thanks for the advice. I’m going to really take this week to soak in everything and review the course work. Yes, taking my time seems to be key. The Flourish class did not seem overly crowded and I found everyones comments pretty helpful. You might like it! Now I’m curious about “Flying Lessons.”
